INCI: brassicamidopropyl dimethylamine
ProCondition 22 is a vegetable-derived conditioning agent for hair care formulations. It is cationic (when neutralized), with superior properties compared to cetrimonium chloride, behentrimonium chloride, and stearamidopropyl dimethylamine. The material contains a majority of behenyl (C22) compounds that yield superb dry combability without build-up. Its electrostatic attraction to hair can be tailored by adjusting formulation pH. The lower the pH, the greater the cationic charge. ProCondition 22 can be the primary emulsifier to build high viscosity formulations.
