Formulators can now use Lexgard® GMCY (INCI: glyceryl caprylate), in finished products certified by ECOCERT, the EU-based inspection and certification organization for ecological & organic raw materials.
Lexgard® GMCY is a non-GMO, 100% vegetable-derived biostatic agent with fantastic efficacy. It is free from parabens, allergens, and formaldehyde. At use levels of only 0.8 - 1.0%, Lexgard® GMCY is suitable for preserving both emulsions and surfactant systems. It may be incorporated into the oil or water phase, as well as at any temperature during the manufacturing process.
