Lubricant Passes John Manville Specification

Lexolube® HP-100LE OCL Passes John Manville

2009-10-14

Inolex Chemical Company's Lexolube® HP-100LE OCL passed the challenging Johns Manville Oven Chain Lubricant Specification, according to results from Herguth Laboratories, Incorporated. Lexolube® HP100LE OCL is a high temperature, low evaporation lubricant, built on polyol ester chemistry and manufactured at Inolex's Philadelphia plant.

Fiberglass ovens are known to be one of the most demanding applications for high temperature chain lubricants. Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a leading manufacturer in the building insulation industry. Johns Manville historically had problems with large amounts of carbon buildup on its fiberglass oven chains. Because of the difficulty in finding the right lubricant for its oven chains, Johns Manville developed its own specification. This specification has now become an industry-wide recognized high standard.

"The Lexolube® HP chain lubricants are designed for continuous use at high temperatures. They are the cleanest chain lubricants available and protect against wear, reduce friction and extend oven chain life," says Tyler Housel, Director of Industrial Lubricants. "Meeting the Johns Manville standard demonstrates the superior performance we've engineered into the Lexolube® HP products".
