Spectrastat (INCI: caprylhydroxamic acid (and) caprylyl glycol (and) glycerin), combines the paraben-free preservation of caprylyl glycol and the anti-fungal activity of a novel patented organic acid, CHA. Unlike previous blends, the organic acid in Spectrastat provides superb results against A. Niger even at neutral pH.
Spectrastat's biostatic agents have terrific efficacy and can completely preserve both emulsions and surfactant systems. The components of Spectrastat are non-toxic, globally acceptable, and are ideal for paraben-free and preservative-free claims.
