Jennifer O'Hara leads marketing and commercialization at Inolex. She was previously director of technical marketing and commercialization with the company. Before joining Inolex, O'Hara served as director of business development (East), Barentz, and was a global marketing manager at Ashland. She holds a degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech. O'Hara brings 20+ years of experience in personal care and consumer products, spanning R&D, engineering, planning, sales, and marketing. At Inolex, she is driving innovation of sustainable ingredients by blending technical depth with market-driven creativity.
O'Hara's leadership strengthens Inolex's focus on sustainability, strategic partnerships, and performance-driven innovation, according to Inolex President Art Knox.
"Jen has vast experience bringing new chemistry from concept to commercialization and ultimately, on to store shelves and into consumers' hands," said Knox. "She has a deep understanding of Inolex chemistry and the solutions we provide, as well as empathy for customer and consumer pain points."
One of the newest solutions is Inolex LexFeel Shine (INCI: Propylene Glycol Dibenzoate). O'Hara led a study with Robin D. Groover, founder of Groove Global Industries, Atlanta, comparing Inolex formulas containing LexFeel Shine to two of the industry's best-selling anti-frizz formulas. The unique format provided valuable insights for cosmetic chemists seeking to balance performance, aesthetics, and sustainability in next-generation hair care formulations.
Inolex is undergoing tremendous growth and is committed to introducing five or six new products a year. The company is elevating the customer experience, too. At its headquarters in the heart of Philadelphia, Inolex is making a bold investment in a new Ingredient Design Center. Set to open in 2027, the Ingredient Design Center will give Inolex access to a diverse consumer base to provide feedback on its ingredients and prototypes.
Part of The Hall, a collaborative space Inolex opened in 2023, the Ingredient Design Center integrates every dimension of ingredient development, from science-based claim substantiation to capturing the voice of customers and consumers, ensuring that Inolex's solutions are both technically superior and market-relevant. The Center will provide customers with rapid prototyping, robust data, and claim support.
Her leadership underlines Inolex's guiding principle: Safer. Greener. Simply Better ingredients for the global beauty and personal care industry.
